“How could our lives be different if we accepted the discomfort of growth? Desirée Dawson’s body of work, Just for Now, seeks to answer just that. It is a soulful, folk-forward exploration and telling of the stories of becoming through songs that feels honest, hopeful, humble and deeply ancestral. Whether this music lives within your bones or not, Dawson's angelic, transcendental voice will permeate the fibres of your very being. In a masterful way, each lyric in every song vulnerably exposes her fears, hopes and bravery. Desirée Dawson’s music is a timeless treasure that reminds us of the importance of tending to our inner worlds and allowing that process to be witnessed.”
